Briefix (“we,” “our,” or “us”) builds free AI productivity tools for working with text, documents, homework, and media. The app is free to use with optional premium subscriptions that remove ads. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the Briefix mobile applications and our website (collectively, the “Services”).

2. Information you provide

Depending on how you use Briefix, you may provide or generate content such as pasted text, files, links (for example, to supported videos), and preferences (for example, display language or appearance settings). If you contact us by email, we receive the contents of your message and associated metadata (such as your email address).

3. On-device storage and network features

Many Briefix features are designed so that certain data - such as summaries or history - can remain on your device in local storage, depending on product behavior and your settings. When you use features that rely on remote processing (for example, cloud-based AI or fetching content from the internet), the minimum information needed to perform that request may be transmitted over an encrypted connection to our service providers or infrastructure.

5. Advertising

If you use Briefix without a premium subscription, you may see advertisements in the app. Ads may be served by third-party ad networks (such as Google AdMob). Those partners may use device identifiers, approximate location, and usage data to show and measure ads, subject to their own privacy policies. Premium subscribers do not see in-app ads.

6. Subscriptions and payments

Briefix offers optional premium subscriptions that remove ads and improve app performance. Current plans are a monthly plan at $0.49 and a yearly plan at $3.99, billed through Google Play. We do not collect or store your full payment card details; purchases are processed by Google. We may receive subscription status, purchase tokens, and related billing metadata from Google Play to verify your premium access and provide support.

7. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with vendors who help us host, secure, or operate the Services (for example, cloud or AI infrastructure), subject to appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

8. Retention

We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, unless a longer period is required by law. On-device data is controlled by your device and app settings (for example, clearing history).

9. Your choices

Where applicable, you can adjust settings in the app (such as language or theme), manage local history, upgrade or cancel a subscription through Google Play, and contact us to ask questions about your information. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws.

10. Children

The Services are not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

11. International users

If you access the Services from outside the country where we operate, information may be processed in countries that have different data protection laws.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
