1. Agreement

By downloading, accessing, or using Briefix applications or our website (the “Services”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. The Services

Briefix provides tools to work with text and documents—such as summarization, scanning and OCR, working with links and supported media, and document utilities. Features may change, improve, or be discontinued as we develop the product. The Services are provided for personal and educational productivity unless we agree otherwise in writing.

3. Eligibility

You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

4. Your content

You retain rights to content you submit. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Services—for example, to process your requests and display results to you. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any text, files, or links you submit and that your use complies with applicable laws and third-party terms (for example, platform rules for linked content).

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Services in violation of law or third-party rights
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Reverse engineer or scrape the Services except where permitted by law
• Use automated means to abuse or overload the Services
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

6. AI-generated output

Outputs may be generated using machine learning or third-party models. They may be inaccurate or incomplete. You should not rely on outputs as sole sources for professional, medical, legal, or safety-critical decisions.

7. Intellectual property

Briefix and its branding, software, and materials are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or logos except as needed to use the Services as offered.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRIEFIX AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50), IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if you violate these Terms or if we need to do so for legal, security, or operational reasons. You may stop using the Services at any time.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your jurisdiction as determined by us, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country apply.
